Heat transfer, Flow distribution, Two-phase flow, Modelling and simulation
A computer simulation model was developed to predict and analyse dynamic flow behaviour in a channel system between two headers. The effects of non-uniform heat flux distribution within the channel levels and in the channel system were accounted for. Simulations were performed using a seven-channel system. The results achieved demonstrated the effects of heat load and inlet sub-cooling on the steady and transient flow behaviour. The flow parameters in different channels were also compared.
