Mobile learning, e-learning and m-learning platforms,displaying multimedia content
Characteristics of mobile communication with respect to e-learning and e-learning platforms are discussed. Based on the current and foreseeable states of research and development in these areas, mobile learning scenarios are outlined, and requirements for a mobile e-learning platform are examined. The four major areas supported by e-learning platforms are analyzed with regard to features that can reasonably be enhanced by providing access through mobile devices. Displaying learning con tent on current and future WAP/UMTS based devices is illustrated by design studies.
