Abstract

A one-persistent steady state retransmission scheme for packet collision in CDMA random access networks is analyzed. Unlike the conventional packetized CDMA systems, we assume that the retransmission of collided data packets is not Poisson distributed. A one-persistent steady state traffic distribution in retransmission provides more realistic measure with improvements in the system throughput and delay. This paper presents the mathematical analysis and some simulation results on the proposed system. The results and analysis are useful to optimize the network capacity of the CDMA random access networks.
