Abstract

Pseudo-noise (PN) sequences are normally used to modulate and demodulate the signal in spread spectrum multiple access communications. One of the purposes of using the PN code is for low probability of detection (LPD). Instead using PN codes and PN code generator, we examined the use of Self- encoded multiple access (SEMA) technology with the convolutional coding in this paper. We discuss the performances of SEMA systems with the convolutional coding for single user and multiple users. In addition, the variations of the generator matrix are tested to improve the performances of the convolutional SEMA systems for multiple users.
