A mobile-speed-based closed-loop power control algorithm with adaptive step size is suggested in this paper. The proposed algorithm is devised in combination with the shift register method and quantization method. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with the previous adaptive step size power control algorithm. The performance improvement in our algorithm is shown in view of the power control error (PCE), power rise and uncoded BER.
