Bluetooth, network architecture, guidance system, positioning
This paper presents an approach for a modern wireless guidance system for indoor environment. This guidance system is based on the Bluetooth wireless communication technology. It is assumed that Bluetooth technology itself is quite clear and more effort is put into the operation and the architecture of the system. Three architectural approaches are presented, two for centralized control and one for distributed operation. The centralized approach is further divided into sparse and dense approaches depending on the available network nodes. The sparse solution is suitable in the beginning as the number of Bluetooth devices is small. Dense approaches might be needed in the future.
