Abstract

This paper presents a new wireless system for data communications based on the “many time many where” paradigm and on the waterfilling concept, i.e., to transmit only when source and destination are close together. We associeted the ideas of Infostations with limited coverage at high data rates and mobility to propose a hybrid system with fixed and mobile Infostations. It will increase coverage and capacity, reduce delay and make information accessible simultaneously from as many points, as possible. We evaluate the improvements in capacity, coverage and in the amount of information transmitted using a one-dimensional model.
