The traditional "publish-find-bind" architecture for web services paid little attention to the problem of communication and knowledge sharing between the service providers and the service consumers. This problem is very important because, in order to discover required services effectively and efficiently, the consumers need to know more about the published services. To address this problem we introduce an extended web service architecture to bridge the knowledge gap between the service providers and the service consumers. In addition, the architecture also addresses the relations between the high-level business services (described by the service providers) and the low-level functional services (described by the service developers). Another problem we want to address is how to compose these services to form a schedulable and scalable set of services to meet the end users' requirements. To solve the problems we need to overlook the process of service composition from business process and integration altitude. In this paper, we propose a business process and integration model to guide the composition and formation of these services to make up high-level services for business objectives (and the end users' requirements).
