Abstract

In this paper we propose the same-entity interference aware retransmission system for TD-CDMA with RSA to reduce the influence of the strong same-entity interference more as it is a TDD-specific issue. We propose the same-entity interference-aware retransmission system for TD-CDMA with Random Slot Allocation (RSA). Retransmitting packets in accordance with the time slot opposing period of RSA reduces the influence of the strong same-entity interference. Computer simulations show that our proposal improves the outage probability of the downlink (maximum about 6 %). Also it is demonstrated that the CIRs of mobile stations(MS’s) that are in outage because of MS-to-MS interferences are improved more than those of the MS’s that are in outage because of the BS-to-MS interferences. This means that our proposal can reduce the influence of the strong same-entity interference. This paper is structured as follows: Section 2 describes the system model, and Section 3 provides simulation parameters and results. Finally, concluding remarks are given in Section 4. 2. System description This section describes various system conditions.
