This paper describes the Wireless Education Platform (WEP) – a platform for mobile multi-user educational ser vices. The platform can be used for multilingual, social multi-user educational gaming experiences on mobile plat forms. The platform is at the initial stages of development, and it currently consists of two exercise types: mathematics and memory. One solo-training mode and three different types of multiplayer games have been implemented. Currently, no real user studies have been done, although the applica tion has been used by pupils. This paper discusses the design principles behind WEP; the modular extensible implementation of it, and the multi-user aspects of the platform.
