Instrumentation amplifier, ultra low voltage, low power, negative resistance and self-adjusting threshold scheme
In this paper an ultra low voltage instrumentation amplifier (IA) is proposed for biomedical signal processing. The proposed design is acquired by both negative resistance technique and self-adjusting threshold scheme to improve circuit performance. Based on post-layout simulation results, the proposed IA achieves an overall gain of 23.8dB, input-referred noise of 82.92 nV/√Hz (at 1 KHz), common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of 88.9dB, power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of at least 91.7dB and power consumption of 64.94 uW at a 0.5-V single power supply using a standard 0.18-um CMOS technology.
