Scicos is a modeling and simulation environment for hybrid systems. Scicos has its own formalism but it also provides some support for the Modelica language, which gives the possibility of modeling physical components very naturally. In this paper we present some of the challenges in the integration of Modelica in Scicos and present some of the new features recently added to Scicos to respond to these challenges. An example is given to illustrate the use of some of these features.
