Patients who suffer from chronic pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis look for any therapeutic technique to use in conjunction with traditional medication in order to alleviate pain and physical disabilities caused by the disease, or at least delay disease progression and improve their lifestyle. This paper focuses on the scientific applications of computer interactions with medicine which study the impact of imagery therapy techniques using virtual reality in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. A review of virtual reality equipment available on the global market which helps in the treatment of this disease will follow.
