Electrical engineering software, Simulink, PSpice, SLPS, Ambulatory Rehabilitation System
The PSpice SLPS interface also known as Simulink PSpice interface program, is a link between two commonly used design products, PSpice and Mathwork’s Simulink simulator. The SLPS software allows the designer to recognize and correct any integration issues of electronics within a system. This is caused by the SLPS simulation environment supporting the substitution of actual electronic blocks with “ideal models”, which can be called the mathematical Simulink model. SLPS allows the designer to design and test the electronic circuits without disconnecting from the system level. This helps lower the possibilities of critical time delays due to the discovery of mistakes at later stages in the manufacturing process. For this project, a model based design of an ambulatory rehabilitation suspension system was chosen. An ambulatory rehabilitation suspension system is an apparatus that helps patients during rehabilitation and provides safety support during gait exercises. The ambulatory rehabilitation suspension system can lift a patient from sitting in a wheelchair to a standing position. It is able to remove a certain percentage of a person’s body weight and recognizes any changes in elevation. This model was used for mathematical and electrical comparison using the SLPD interface. .
