This paper addresses the problem of how to judge the quality of content in wikis. We focus on semi-open or private wikis that are used by a small community to share knowledge on a certain topic, for instance a group of students collaborating in a computer science course in distance education. We propose to apply trust concepts for expressing and computing trust not only among wiki users but also in wiki content. The wiki incorporates a certificate authority that issues certificates to registered users. This ensures trust in the authenticity of wiki users. Trust in wiki content is supported by applying the web of trust concept originating from the PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) software.
