Public key infrastructure, smart card, e-government, cryptographic protocols
National public key infrastructures have been proposed by governmental entities all over the world. Such infrastructures can be used to further build functionalities enabling e-government services. This article describes protocols for certiļ¬cate generation and revocation that are appropriate for large-scale infrastructures such as national PKIs. The protocols use smart card to support mobility without compromising security.
