Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) calling-card service providers are facing critical challenges in the decision - making process to increase its profit margin. A simulation model using ARENA is developed to evaluate different business plans and system parameters affecting net profit. Data from a real - world VoIP calling-card system are used in the simulation experiments. The results indicate that there are alternative policies or business plans that the service provider can implement to increase its net profit, and the selection of suppliers is critical.
