Tech in Electrical Engineeringfrom NIT, Durgapur, 2013. He isan assistant professor in the De-partment of Electrical Engineer-ing, Dr. B C Roy Engineering Col-lege, Durgapur. Hisresearchinter-ests include optimization, powersystem, power electronics, etc. Hehas guided several B. Tech andthree M. Tech students. He is anassociate member of The Institu-tion of Engineers (India).Provas K. Roy obtained Ph.D.degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom National Institute of Tech-nology Durgapur in 2011. He re-ceived his Master degree in Elec-trical Machine in 2001 from Ja-davpur University. He finished hisEngineering studies in ElectricalEngineering from Regional Engi-neering College (presently knownas National Institute of Technol-ogy) Durgapur. Presently, he isworking as a professor in Electrical Engineering Depart-ment at Kalyani Government Engineering College, WestBengal, India. He was the recipient of the Outstanding Re-viewer Award for IJEPES (Elsevier, 2018), EAAI (Elsevier,2017), Renewable Energy Focus (Elsevier, 2018), ASEJ (El-sevier, 2017). He has published more than 150 researchpapers in National/International Journals and conferenceand more than 75 journals published in reputed SCI andScopus indexed Journals, and more than 10 book chaptersand two books of international standard. Six research schol-ars have obtained their Ph.D. degree under his guidanceand 8 students are perusing their Ph.D. under his guidance.His research interest includes economic load dispatch, op-timal power flow, FACTS, automatic generation control,radial distribution network, power system stabilizer, im-age processing, machine learning, evolutionary techniques,etc.Subrata Banerjee received thePh.D. degree in electrical en-gineering from IIT Kharagpur,Kharagpur, India, in 2005. He iscurrently a professor in the De-partment of Electrical Engineer-ing, National Institute of Tech-nology, Durgapur, India. He hassuccessfully completed several re-search and consultancy projects,including one major from DST,Government of India. He hasauthored/coauthored about 180 research papers in na-tional/internationaljournalsandconferencerecords. Hehasfiled three Indian patents and received one Indian Patent.He has guided nine Ph.D. and 21 M.Tech. students andmany are pursuing their degree under his guidance. Hisresearch interests include power electronics converters, andapplicationofcontrolsystemsinpowerelectronicsandpowersystems. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, In-dia, the Institution of Electronics and TelecommunicationEngineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering andTechnology, U.K. He was a recipient of several academicawards, including nine Best Paper Awards and the TATARAO Prize.
