Generation and transmission equipment maintenance scheduling, load transfer, immune genetic algorithm, multi-objective optimization, power systems
This paper presents a multi-objective optimization model for generation and transmission equipment maintenance scheduling (GTEMS)considering the load transfer. The traditional GTEMS model ignores the effect of lost load, that is, load transfer is not considered during maintenance scheduling. This may lead to load shedding directly or GTEMS scheme cannot be implemented in the case of heavy load. Therefore, it is needed to consider the load transfer in the optimization of maintenance scheduling. The load transfer method and the corresponding implementation in optimal maintenance scheduling are demonstrated in the paper. A new algorithm, which is a relatively dominant objective of the immune genetic algorithm for multi-objective optimization problem, is proposed. The proposed model and approach are validated by the IEEE 30 bus system and IEEE 118 bus system.
